Information on Horse Riding in the Tolna Region of Hungary

Hungary is a country rich in history and culture, with a diverse landscape and great local cuisine. With countryside varying from mountainous areas to the open flatlands of the Great Plain and Hungarian Puszta (barren lands) there is endless space for horse riding. This is a country where you can ride for miles without crossing roads or stopping for gates, open grassland and sandy tracks offering the chance for long exhilarating trots and canters.

Hungary has a temperate climate, similar to the rest of continental Europe and summer months are the most popular with visitors.

Horse riding trails for less experienced riders are also available, especially in the area around Lake Balaton, central Europe's warmest lake. Here there are a number of riding centres offering hourly lessons and day trails.
